Jasmine Clapper

I'm a digital artist who combines technical logic with artistic entertainment. My goal has always been to tell stories in ways that are both memorable and intelligible. I've designed comics that taught and translated the University of Idaho's findings on cyanobacteria blooms in Lake Fernan to local stakeholders, and created visual and interactive models that explains blood types and who can donate to whom. From tutoring calculus as an undergrad, to working with patients in dental, there have been many things I needed to teach that can be difficult to understand when using mere words. That's where my artistic storytelling abilities come to shine. Using creative problem solving and a few sketches on paper, I can take a difficult procedure such as a root canal of a mandibular molar and turn it into a comic of an excavator cleaning and reinforcing a tooth-shaped cave.
